Personal training provides one-on-one attention tailored specifically to your body, goals, and current fitness level. Your trainer designs each session around your needs, adjusting exercises based on your progress and any physical limitations. This focused approach means faster results and proper form correction.

Group classes follow a set structure that works for the majority but may not address your specific requirements. With personal training, every minute is dedicated to you, allowing for detailed feedback and modifications that suit your pace.

Most clients see good results with 2-3 sessions per week, which allows adequate recovery time between workouts. Beginners often start with twice weekly sessions to build a foundation without overwhelming the body. More experienced individuals might train 3-4 times weekly, depending on their goals.

Your trainer will recommend a frequency based on your objectives, current fitness level, and schedule. Consistency matters more than frequency – regular twice-weekly sessions produce better outcomes than sporadic intense training.

No prior fitness level is required. Our trainers work with complete beginners through to advanced athletes. Your first session includes an assessment to understand your starting point, any injuries or concerns, and what you want to achieve.

We design programmes that match where you are now, not where you think you should be. Starting from scratch is perfectly normal, and many clients find personal training the ideal way to build confidence before joining group activities.

Wear comfortable athletic clothing and supportive trainers suitable for exercise. Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated throughout your session. A small towel is useful, though we provide these if needed.

If you have any medical conditions, previous injuries, or take regular medication, bring relevant information to discuss with your trainer. This helps us create a safe, effective programme from day one.

Standard sessions run for 60 minutes, which includes a brief warm-up, main workout, and cool-down period. This duration provides enough time for effective training without excessive fatigue. Some clients prefer 45-minute sessions, particularly when training more frequently.

Your first session may include additional time for assessment and discussion about your goals. We also offer 90-minute sessions for those wanting extended training or combining strength work with cardio elements.

Yes, semi-private training for two people is available and popular among friends, couples, or family members. Training together can increase motivation and make sessions more enjoyable while still receiving professional guidance.

Both participants should have similar fitness levels and compatible goals for this format to work effectively. The cost per person is lower than individual sessions, making it a budget-friendly option while maintaining quality instruction.

We require 24 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Contact us by phone or email before this deadline, and we'll move your session to another suitable time without charge. This policy ensures trainers can manage their schedules and offer slots to other clients.

Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice, or missed sessions without contact, are charged at the full session rate. Emergency situations are handled individually – we understand unexpected circumstances arise.

Our trainers provide general nutrition guidance to support your training goals. This includes advice on meal timing, protein intake, hydration, and healthy eating patterns that complement your workout programme.

For detailed meal plans or specific dietary requirements, we can refer you to qualified nutritionists who work alongside our training services. This ensures you receive expert advice appropriate to your individual needs and any medical considerations.

Most clients notice improvements in strength and energy within 3-4 weeks of consistent training. Visible physical changes typically appear after 6-8 weeks, though this varies based on starting point, goals, and commitment to the programme.

Results depend on several factors including training frequency, nutrition, sleep quality, and adherence to the plan. Your trainer tracks progress through regular assessments, adjusting your programme to maintain steady improvement over time.

All our trainers hold Level 3 Personal Training qualifications as a minimum, with many possessing additional certifications in specialist areas such as strength conditioning, rehabilitation, or sports performance. Each trainer maintains current first aid certification and professional indemnity insurance.

We require ongoing professional development, ensuring trainers stay current with industry best practices and new training methodologies. This commitment to education means you receive evidence-based training from knowledgeable professionals.

Yes, we design programmes for specific objectives including marathon preparation, strength building, weight management, or sport-specific conditioning. Your trainer creates a structured plan with progressive milestones leading to your target event or goal.

For endurance events, training includes strength work to prevent injury, mobility exercises, and guidance on building mileage safely. We coordinate with your existing training schedule to complement rather than conflict with your other activities.

Our facility includes free weights, resistance machines, kettlebells, medicine balls, TRX suspension trainers, and cardio equipment. We also use bodyweight exercises, which require no equipment but deliver excellent results when performed correctly.

Equipment selection depends on your programme and goals. Beginners often start with machines and bodyweight movements before progressing to free weights. Your trainer chooses appropriate tools for each exercise, teaching proper technique throughout.

We provide online training via video call for clients who prefer training at home or cannot visit our London location. Sessions follow the same structure as in-person training, with your trainer demonstrating exercises and monitoring your form through the camera.

Home training requires minimal equipment – often just resistance bands and dumbbells. Your trainer designs workouts based on what you have available. Online sessions offer flexibility for busy schedules while maintaining accountability and professional guidance.

We train clients from age 16 upwards, with no upper age limit. Programmes are adapted to suit different life stages, from young adults building strength to older clients focusing on mobility and functional fitness. Each age group has specific needs that we address through appropriate exercise selection.

For clients under 18, we require parental consent before starting training. Older adults often benefit from exercises that improve balance, bone density, and daily movement patterns, helping maintain independence and quality of life.

We work with many clients managing injuries, chronic conditions, or post-surgery rehabilitation. Your trainer modifies exercises to work around limitations while still providing effective workouts. For serious medical conditions, we may request clearance from your GP before starting.

Common conditions we accommodate include back pain, joint issues, diabetes, and cardiovascular concerns. Training can actually help manage many conditions when done correctly. We maintain communication with healthcare providers when appropriate to ensure safe, beneficial exercise.

We offer flexible packages from single sessions to monthly memberships with multiple sessions per week. Packages of 10 or 20 sessions provide better value than individual bookings. Monthly memberships include a set number of sessions with the option to add extras if needed.

Payment is accepted by bank transfer, debit card, or credit card. Package sessions remain valid for three months from purchase, giving you flexibility to schedule around your commitments. We'll discuss options during your initial consultation to find what suits your budget and goals.

During your initial enquiry, we discuss your goals and preferences to match you with a suitable trainer. Factors include training style, specialist knowledge, personality, and schedule availability. Most clients find their assigned trainer works well, but we can arrange changes if needed.

Some trainers specialise in strength training, others in weight management or athletic performance. We consider these specialisms when making matches. The relationship between client and trainer matters for long-term success, so finding the right fit is important.

We combine structured programming with regular progress tracking and adjustments based on your response to training. Each programme follows proven principles of progressive overload, adequate recovery, and exercise variety. Your trainer monitors form closely, ensuring you perform movements safely and effectively.

Beyond the physical training, we provide accountability and motivation that helps clients stay consistent. Regular check-ins, goal setting, and celebrating milestones keep you engaged with the process. This comprehensive approach addresses both the physical and mental aspects of achieving lasting results.

Contact us by phone on +44 20 7381 9254 or email [email protected] to arrange a consultation. This initial meeting, either in person or by phone, allows us to understand your goals, answer questions, and explain how we can help. There's no obligation to commit at this stage.

If you decide to proceed, we'll schedule your first session at a convenient time. Your trainer will conduct an assessment, discuss your programme, and begin working towards your goals. Most clients start within a week of their initial enquiry, though we can accommodate urgent requests when possible.

About Mazika

Mazika fitness training facility

Our Story

Mazika began in 2015 when three certified trainers in Chelsea recognized a gap in London's fitness landscape. They saw clients struggling with generic gym programs that ignored individual needs, body types, and realistic schedules. What started as a small studio on Elm Park Road has grown into a dedicated space where 12 qualified trainers work with clients across various fitness levels.

The name reflects our belief that training should have rhythm and flow. Each session is structured around your body's natural movement patterns, not arbitrary exercise trends. We've worked with over 800 clients, from office workers managing desk-related tension to athletes preparing for specific competitions.

Our Mission

We provide structured training programs based on exercise science and biomechanics. Our trainers hold Level 3 Personal Training qualifications and specialized certifications in areas like strength conditioning, rehabilitation, and nutrition guidance. Sessions are designed around measurable progress, not vague promises.

Our Vision

We aim to make evidence-based training accessible in London. This means clear communication about what exercises accomplish, realistic timelines for different goals, and honest assessments of what's achievable. We're building a facility where people understand their training, not just follow instructions.

Experience and Expertise

Our trainers average 7 years of hands-on experience. They've completed continuing education in functional movement screening, injury prevention protocols, and sport-specific conditioning. We use equipment from Technogym and Eleiko, chosen for durability and biomechanical design.

The facility includes a 200-square-meter training floor with dedicated zones for strength work, cardiovascular training, and mobility exercises. We maintain a 1:4 trainer-to-client ratio during group sessions and offer private training in 60-minute or 90-minute blocks. Assessment sessions include body composition analysis using InBody scanners and movement screening to identify limitations.
